Bicycles and pedestrians
- A variety of bike-specific options can be implemented with this system, both for separate bike facilities and for mixed traffic.
- If available, pedestrian detection (passive or active) is used to reduce waiting times.
- Walking times are dynamically adjusted to match the length of the pedestrian phase with the length of the vehicle phase.
- With sufficient detection, the length of the pedestrian phase could also be based on demand.
Traffic
It can be adapted for the use of external TSP systems, either by allowing these systems to override or include their requests.
The internal traffic signal optimization (TSO) process is also available. This allows transit to be factored directly into optimization and to predict arrival, rather than forcing reactive TSP operations.
Connected Vehicles
Currently, all intersections in our system can provide SPaT data to multiple destinations (DSRC, third-party applications).
Connected vehicles allow signal new capacities more intelligence in the comming years.
